A Little Oyster Mushroom Harvest

Oyster Mushroom Harvest

Just harvested these from the coffee cans.  This was the 2nd flush of mushrooms.  Today I'm going to take the remains from the cans and add it to a big batch of straw to keep them going.  Too fun!

That's really fun. For those who are not familiar, oyster mushroom is a common edible mushroom. It is now grown commercially around the world for food. I think like me everyone loves to have garden because it means fewer trips to the store for fresh food. Your entire crop will be determined by the amount of pruning and preparing you do in the spring, so you need to make sure to start getting prepared today.

Here are some photos of the new mushrooms from the old straw in the coffee cans.  It only took a couple of weeks for these to pop out.  After these flushes I put the straw in the garden.
