Early Girl Tomato Plant Growing Outdoors In DWC Hydroponics

Early Girl Tomato Plant In Hydroponics

I started this Early Girl Tomato plant from a clone in rockwool and put it in this deep water culture hydroponic bucket 10 days ago.  It took about 4 days for the roots to start to come out of the bottom of the 6" netpot on the top of the 5 gallon bucket.  The bucket is only half full of nutrient solution because the aerator I have hooked up is mighty powerful and really splashes up.  Right now I have the nutrients at 1000PPM of Maxigro and the plant is really starting to take off.  I have never grown a hydroponic tomato outdoors, just indoors for the past few years.  I have done hydroponic bell peppers outdoors before as you can see in the photo below.  I'm still using the same unit today.  They really last.

Below is a photo of the Early Girl Tomato root system.  Very healthy and white.  Looks like fish bones.  I'll keep updating on this plant as it grows.
