My First Ripe Tomato of 2013

Van Wert Ohio Tomato Plant

Here it is!  My first ripe tomato of the year.  This is a Van Wert Ohio tomato plant that I cloned from another plant that I had growing in Wisconsin over the summer.  The reason I cloned it is because I was out of this variety of seed and didn't have any tomatoes to get seeds from that I know were not cross pollinated.  This one had a flower indoors and then I put it outside one warm day and forgot to bring it in at night.  Well it so happened to get below freezing that night and it stunted the growth.  I had it under 400 watt HPS and metal halide grow lights and was able to get this ripe one.  YAY!  I'll have seeds!
