Hydroponic Stevia, Basil, Radish, Spinach Update 1-26-2013

Here are a bunch of photos I just took this morning.  The radishes really have done well.  One of them I could even pick today if I wanted to but I'll wait to see how outrageous it can get.  I haven't touched the nutrient solution at all and it still at 700PPM of Maxigrow.  The stevia in the hydroponics is doing extremely well....much more healthy than the stevia in soil.  Today I'm going to transplant the ones in soil to another pot.  I'm not going to be using Scotts Potting Mix this time.  I think I'll just put in in regular topsoil to see how they do.  I added a spinach plant the the unit since the radishes will not be in there too much longer.  I may start another DWC hydroponic unit with spinach only.  I want to see how well I can get it to grow under overdriven T8 lights.  The lemon basil also looks very healthy.  I can't wait to start using it.

Stevia Growing in Scotts Potting Mix

Above you see the stevia in the Scotts Potting Mix. Not much growth at all.

Hydroponic Stevia

Above you see the stevia in the the hydroponic unit. Super healthy!

Hydroponic Radish in Deep Water Culture

Above you see hydroponic radish taking over the unit.  I'm not too worried because it will not be in there too much longer.

Hydroponic radish

Above you see hydroponic radish almost ready to pick.  They have a pretty big root system.

Hydroponic Spinach

Above you see hydroponic spinach just starting out.  It took about 10 days to germinate.

Hydroponic Lemon Basil

Above you see hydroponic lemon basil.  You can't beat how healthy that looks!
