Hello my name is Shawn Mitchell and I am "The Urban Citizen". Almost a year ago now I began my journey to better understand the living world around me and my place in it. I began questioning the things I bought and what I ate as well as what I was feeding my family. I came to the fast conclusion that I had no idea of the opportunities I was missing by not knowing the simple things like where my food came from and the things that were being used to cultivate it.
